Teen riding scooter seriously injured in Clearwater crash: First responders
CLEARWATER, Fla. - A 16-year-old boy riding a motorized scooter was rushed to the hospital Monday evening after a crash in Clearwater, first responders said.
The Clearwater Police Department and Clearwater Fire and Rescue responded to the crash at 5:33 p.m. at Seminole Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
The 16-year-old who was riding the motorized scooter collided with a Chevrolet Equinox at the intersection, according to officials.
The teen was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with serious injuries, authorities said. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
