Taco Bell is testing out churro doughnuts
TAMPA, Fla. (FOX 13) - A fried-dough pastry often paired with sweet chocolate dipping sauce is making a mainstream appearance.
Taco Bell announced it is adding a dollar-churro donut to its breakfast menu for a limited time. A churro is more like a stick with ridges, but this churro donut is deep-friend and shaped like, well, a donut, with a sprinkling for cinnamon sugar.
Taco Bell will have them on their breakfast menu in Kansas City, Missouri, in hopes a good test there will springboard to a nationwide rollout.
The move is seen as a competition for the breakfast market against companies like McDonald’s and Burger King.
