24-year-old Maryland man identified as suspect in Jacksonville Landing shooting
WASHINGTON - A man from Baltimore has been identified as the suspect in a fatal mass shooting in Jacksonville, Florida, according to police.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says 24-year-old David Katz, from Baltimore, Maryland opened fire at a mall in downtown Jacksonville on Sunday afternoon, injuring several people and killing at least two, before turning the gun on himself.
There are reportedly 11 other people that were injured in the shooting, which occurred during a Madden NFL 19 tournament.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says ATF is now involved in the investigation.
The Baltimore Sun reports that Federal Authorities were at a home near South Baltimore on Sunday night as part of an investigation into the Jacksonville mass shooting.
Maryland teen 19-year-old Drini Gjoka tweeted that he was injured in the shooting.
