Brooksville man killed when golf cart crashes into tree: FHP

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. - A Brooksville man was killed in a golf cart crash on Saturday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 74-year-old man was driving a golf cart on a golf cart access path near Meetinghouse Lane in the Clover Leaf Forest RV Resort when he suffered a medical emergency.

Troopers say the man left the golf cart path, struck a tree, was thrown into a nearby pond and died at the scene.
