Car fire on I-275 near Bearss Avenue

TAMPA (FOX 13) - Flames consumed a car on Interstate 275 during the Tuesday morning commute

The car fire took place on I-275 southbound near the Bearss Avenue exit. The scene is off to the side of the road.

The view from SkyFOX showed the flames throughout the car. Fire crews arrived on scene before 7 a.m., blocking the far right lane. The fire was out within a few minutes of their arrival, leaving behind a scorched vehicle.

It’s unclear whether there were any injuries. FOX 13’s traffic reporter Vanessa Ruffes says smoke is in the area and for commuters to plan for delays.
