4 injured in chemical explosion at Lakeland warehouse
LAKELAND (FOX 13) - A chemical explosion near Lakeland Linder Regional Airport injured four people Friday.
It happened at Ruthven warehouses on Drane Field Road.
The Lakeland Fire Department says the chemicals Toluene and Sodium hypochlorite were involved.
Touline is used in work operations involving paint, metal cleaners, adhesives and other products.
Sodium Hypochlorite is the main ingredient in laundry bleach.
Fire officials said there was not an active fire at the scene after the initial explosion.
