Officers cheer on children of fallen officer at graduation

NEW PORT RICHEY (FOX 13) - Graduation is a time for celebration. But it's bittersweet for two Pasco County teens.

Their father, Officer Charlie Kondek was killed in 2014 while responding to a call about a noise complaint.

On Saturday, Aleena and Brandon Kondek walked across the stage and accepting their diplomas from River Ridge High School.

But they weren't alone.

Once they were off the stage, they were greeted with hugs, kind words and fist bumps by a group of Tarpon Springs officers.

The special moment was caught on camera.
