One injured in St. Pete apartment fire
ST. PETERSBURG (FOX 13) - One person was injured in a Friday morning apartment fire.
St. Pete fire officials said the victim was critically injured when a fire broke out at an apartment complex at 3315 West 58th Avenue South. The building is just east of Interstate 275.
The victim was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital. Officials said there were sprinklers in the building allowing the fire to remain contained to a second-floor apartment unit.
No other details are immediately available. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
