Rays fans react to proposed team move at Fan Fest

Baseball fans spent part of their Saturday at Tropicana Field, for the 20th annual Tampa Bay Rays Fan Fest. It could be one of the last Fan Fests in St. Petersburg.

The event came one day after Rays team owners announced plans to move the team to Tampa--with a site in Ybor City. The team must come up with $800 million to build a new stadium.

Opinions on the move depended on which Rays fans you talked to.

"I'm excited," said Colin Jameson. "But it's hard for me to get to Tampa. So it'll be a little harder to go and more expensive to travel."

"We are very excited," said Maria Moll-Malave. "No more cars, no more looking for parking. Get Uber and go right to the park."

No matter what fans thing, team management still has a long way to go and a lot of money to come up with, before Tropicana Field sees its last inning of baseball.
