Sarasota teen remains missing since Labor Day
SARASOTA (FOX 13) - It's been three weeks since Tawana Spann's son went missing.
Her 14-year-old son, Jabez, has not been seen since September 4, which was Labor Day. Jabez was last seen at his grandmother's home in the Newtown area of Sarasota. Police believe someone knows more about his disappearance.
"Our detectives believe someone in the community knows something but is not coming forward," the agency wrote on its Facebook page.
Jabez is now listed as endangered on FDLE's statewide missing persons alert website. Police say he's been off social media. A ping to his phone and multiple searches have yielded no results.

"It is very rare. You're not going to find a child that doesn't want to be on Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat in a two-week frame," Tawana said.
They said they haven't ruled out foul play but also there is no evidence to suggest it. Sarasota police ask anyone with information to call 911 or the agency at 941-954-7067.
