Missing, endangered boy found in Kentucky; receiving medical help
TAMPA, Fla. (FOX 13) - The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says a missing boy, who was considered to be in danger, has been found in Georgetown, Kentucky.
Joshua McAdams and his parents were located and Joshua is now being medically treated. Charges of child neglect are pending for his parents, HCSO said. The Missing Endangered Child Alert has been canceled.
Deputies said the 3-year-old boy was in need of life-saving medical care, but his parents, Joshua McAdams, 28, and Taylor Bland-Ball, 22, failed to bring him to a scheduled, medically-necessary hospital procedure April 22.
Investigators were concerned because Joshua has a PICC line as part of his medical care.
Child Protective Services investigators had a "take into custody" order for the child. Deputies said the boy's father was considered armed and dangerous.
Hillsborough County deputies suspected the couple would take the boy to Kentucky.
