Suspects caught with printer after using fake money at Walmart
BROOKSVILLE, Fla. (FOX 13) - The Hernando County Sheriff's Office arrested a group of teenagers and young adults that was attempting to use counterfeit money at Walmart.
According to deputies, three of the suspects attempted to purcahse Visa gift cards with fake money at the same time at a Walmart in Brooksville.
When the cashiers noticed the money was counterfeit, all of the suspects fled from the store, leaving the fake cash behind.
Deputies later caught up with the vehicle they were in and stopped it. During a search of the car, deputies found a printer, heavyweight paper and several pairs of scissors.
The suspects were identified as 21-year-old Aaron Shaw, 20-year-old Jeffery Robinson, a 16-year-old juvenile, and a 17-year-old juvenile.
Deputies believe the same group is responsible for similar crimes within Hernando County.
