Tampa teacher arrested for molesting teen student
TAMPA (FOX 13) - UPDATE: Citing a lack of evidence, the state attorney's office decided not to prosecute George W. Foreman Jr. for the molestation charge on April 22, 2019.
ORIGINAL REPORT: A teacher at Woodmont Charter School has been arrested - accused of molesting a 14-year-old student.
George W. Foreman, Jr., 28, of Tampa, faces a charge of lewd or lascivious molestation.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says George Washington Foreman, Jr. and his victim - a student at the school - exchanged emails before meeting in the parking lot of her apartment complex back in May.
Investigators say the two hugged and kissed. During the hugging, the victim says Foreman's hands moved from her hips down to her buttocks.
Detectives turned the investigation over to the State Attorney's Office and an arrest warrant was issued. Foreman was arrested December 19 and booked into the Orient Road Jail.
HCSO says investigators are not aware of any other victims at this time.
