From unique restaurants to quaint shops, downtown Dunedin is always bustling with business.
A big part of that draw is the Pinellas Trail, which crosses right over main street.
"Best thing ever. Even the locals like it. I'm here almost every day and it's full", said bicyclist, James Ward.
You'll see cars driving around downtown, but the main traffic involves two wheels and two feet.
"We don't need to get a car. I mean I have a car here, but I'm usually on my bike", said Laura Cormier.
"The trail means a lot to us. It's a heavy people mover.  People come in downtown via the trail.  They're going to shop. They're going to eat . They're going to do special events", said Bob Ironsmith with the city of Dunedin.
"Throughout the weekends you can't even walk down it because there are so many people", said Shardai Chaput of Cafe Al Fresco.
Now the city's trail friendly status is being recognized by the state.
"We are so proud to be designated as the first trail town in the state of Florida it means a lot to us", said Ironsmith.
A trail town designation celebration is scheduled for downtown Dunedin in April.
