Dog 'arrested' for slaying Christmas elf toy
FARMINGTON, N.M (FOX 13) - An adorable pooch was accused of murdering one of her family’s Christmas dolls.
It was all fun and games for Shane Ferrari, who is running for Sheriff of San Juan County in 2018, after he shared an image of the dog’s fake mugshot to Facebook and jokes, “Evidence found on scene quickly turned the investigation’s focus to Josie Ferrari a.k.a ‘The Mutt.’ The victim’s body was found near the doggie door. A known hang out of Josie’s. Upon questioning, Josie fled law enforcement and a foot chase ensued.”
A photo of the elf doll was shared on his Facebook page as well, showing its dismembered body.
No puppy dog eyes can seem to help Josie out now that it has been charged with murder, tampering with evidence and fleeing.
In his Facebook post, Ferrari added, “I am happy with the quick apprehension of the suspect. My concern now is for the family due to New Mexico ‘catch and release’ rules.”
