According to deputies, 38-year-old Adam Christopher Pilling took off from deputies in his truck during a traffic stop.
Deputies say they then used stop sticks to end the chase and make his truck undrivable, but he continued to keep driving before crashing.
The sheriff's office launched its helicopter to help deputies during the chase near Branch Forbes Road north of 1-4, according to HCSO.
Once Pilling crashed the truck, he was taken into custody, according to HCSO.
The charges Pilling faces are unknown at this time.
Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said the "incident highlights the teamwork and dedication of our patrol deputies and Aviation Section, who worked seamlessly to track and arrest a suspect determined to evade the law."
Chronister also said, "Thanks to their (Aviation Section’s) swift actions, we resolved this situation without further harm to our community."
