TAMPA (FOX 13) - A Metropolitan Ministries project at Armature Works creates good food to do good for the community.
A place called “Inside the Box” is located inside the beautiful old building, which has many different restaurant options all under one roof. Just like Dough Nation, Inside the Box is operated by the charity organization and all profits go back to support their mission.
They call it a social enterprise, and provides culinary arts education and vocational training for people transitioning out of homelessness. Metropolitan Ministries said its graduates become employed at their cafes, catering division and some of the city’s restaurants.
The funds from Inside the Box will be used to feed the hungry in Tampa Bay, according to the organization’s website.
