TAMPA (FOX 13) - Spend time down on the farm, an organic farm.
Sweetwater Organic Community Farm is an urban farm located just northwest of Tampa International Airport off of Hillsborough Avenue.
The farm is a popular spot for field trips for students to learn all about where our food comes from. They offer what they call CSA Memberships, where you can purchase a “share” of what they grow in a season. They offer full memberships and half memberships.
Their certified organic veggies and herbs are harvested, washed and ready for pick-up on designated days. Their season runs 30 weeks, from November to May. During those months, they also offer a Farmer’s Market every Sunday – except on Easter – from noon to 4 p.m. that’s open to the public.
