Nature's Classroom offers natural, memorable lessons to Hillsborough students

Nature’s Classroom is a place many school children in Hillsborough County have visited throughout the years.

It’s been a tradition for the school district’s elementary school for nearly 50 years. The activities have changed over the course of that time – kids no longer get to shoot BB guns – but it’s still a valuable source of the county, and memorable field trip for students.

Nature’s Classroom is located in northeast Hillsborough County on 365 acres. Sixth graders can attend a 3-day immersion program to study the Hillsborough River Watershed.
