FOX 13's Charley Belcher spent Friday morning at "Buddy Baseball," a non-competitive, non-profit, recreational baseball league for boys and girls with special needs in Tampa.

In "Buddy Baseball," each player is paired up with a buddy to help them.

The players get to participate and the league fosters friendships.

The games last for one hour on Saturdays, with a 15-20 minute practice beforehand.

The league starts up again in the fall starting on Oct. 1.

Player ages are 8-22 years old with special needs, and they are paired up with buddies ages 10-18.
