A crash in Palm Harbor left one person dead and two others injured.

Florida Highway Patrol said it happened around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday. Troopers said a 2006 Jeep SUV was headed north on Alt-19, just south of Jeter Street. They believe it crossed the center line and hit a 2004 Ford pickup hauling a trailer head-on.

The view from SkyFOX shows the trailer is white with green lettering, reading Garden Designs Landscaping.

FHP says the driver of the Jeep died at the hospital. The driver and passenger in the pickup truck were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Jeep, and the driver and passenger in the truck were not wearing seat belts, troopers said.

Alcohol was not believed to be a factor.

Both directions of Alt-19 were still closed I both directions at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. FHP was not able to say when the road would reopen.
