1 person dies after crash involving wrong-way driver on US-41, alcohol impairment suspected: FHP
BROOKSVILLE, Fla. - One person is dead after a wrong-way driver collided head-on with another vehicle on US-41 Wednesday morning in Brooksville, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Investigators say a 32-year-old Groveland man was heading south in the northbound lane north of Sgt. Lea Mills Blvd. when his Toyota Tacoma hit a Dodge Ram with four people aboard.

A 44-year-old Brooksville man died at the scene and the other three passengers in the Dodge Ram suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say they are unsure why the Groveland man was driving in the wrong direction, but they do believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
