Search for shooter after homicide

NEW TAMPA, Fla. - A homicide investigation is underway after a shooting was reported along Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and Regents Park Drive in New Tampa.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said they responded just before 3 p.m. after reports of a person being found dead in the road after gunshots were fired.
"Pop. pop. pop. pop. pop. pop. pop. I was like what is going on out there?" said Natasha Tucker, who was working the counter at a dry cleaners across the street. "I didn't think it was a shooting, but the way it sounded it was shots."
Deputies arrived at the scene and said they found a man dead after being shot multiple times in the 19000 block Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.

Authorities with the sheriff's office are now on scene actively investigating the shooting. No one is in custody, but they do believe this was an isolated incident.
