2 arrested in string of Hernando County storage unit burglaries: Deputies
BROOKSVILLE, Fla. - Two suspects were arrested on Thursday in a string of Hernando County storage unit burglaries, according to deputies.
The Hernando County Sheriff's Office said officials arrested Shawnee Reed, 32, and Brian Beckley, 36, during a traffic stop in Pasco County.
According to investigators, the string of burglaries at storage units happened between December 21, 2024, and December 29, 2024. Deputies said multiple things were stolen from storage units, including tools, batteries and miscellaneous items.

Reed and Beckley were also caught on surveillance video committing the storage unit burglaries, the sheriff's office said.
Detectives with the Special Investigations Unit found the pair driving on Spring Hill Drive and followed them to a storage unit facility off of U.S. 41 in Pasco County. HCSO said with the Florida Highway Patrol's assistance, they pulled the duo over and arrested them shortly after they left the storage facility.
Beckley and Reed were each arrested for burglary and grand theft and taken to the Pasco County jail where they are being held without bond, according to deputies. Beckley also has multiple warrants for similar charges out of Kentucky.
