A woman is dead and another is recovering from her injuries after a shooting in Haines City on Friday night, according to the Haines City Police Department, and now officials are looking for a dark-colored, four-door sedan.

The two women were driving on Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd. when they were shot from behind, according to police who responded.

So far, Haines City police have not arrested anyone in connection to the shooting.

Early evidence suggests that the car the women were driving was specifically targeted and police say they believe there is no threat to the public.

The 33-year-old victim died from her injuries and the other 41-year-old victim is in stable condition.

If you believe you may have information about the vehicle of interest shown in the photo, please call the Haines City Police Department or Heartland Crime Stoppers if you wish to remain anonymous.
