Access to Pinellas County, including barrier islands, restored after Hurricane Milton

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Pinellas County officials have restored access into the county, and to the barrier islands, after initial damage assessments from Hurricane Milton.

Deputies restricted access into the county earlier Thursday due to hazardous conditions.

Officials are still urging everyone to use caution, as power outages remain widespread and many traffic lights are out, while storm debris could also pose a hazard.
