Accused killer Steven Lorenzo to face courtroom 14 years after murder

TAMPA (FOX 13) - Drug, torture, kill; that was the method for two notorious killers in Tampa Bay, prosecutors say.

Scott Schweickert and Steven Lorenzo were both convicted on federal drug charges. They also face charges related to the deaths of two men, Jason Galehouse and Michael Wachholtz.

Schweickert cut a deal with the state on murder charges, taking the death penalty off the table in exchange for a life sentence and testimony against Lorenzo.

Victims' families gave Schweickert some things to consider as he spends the rest of his life in jail.

"Schweickert, take a good look at this picture," said Pam Williams, the mother of victim Jason Galehouse, holding up a photo of her son. "I look at it every single day. I don't even have a grave, a body, or a tombstone. I have the city dump. My son [is] ground up like hamburger meat in the dirt so I hope you're satisfied because I hope you rot in hell."

After Schweickert's sentencing last June, Williams said. "Now I'm waiting for his buddy to get back here because I'm saving something special for him."

Now, nearly 14 years after the murder, the day has come for Schweickert's partner, Steven Lorenzo to face murder charges in the deaths of Galehouse and Wachholtz.

Lorenzo will be in a Tampa courtroom Wednesday and there's a good chance Pam Williams may be there too.
