ATF: 'Anti-government' suspect had pipe bombs, guns
TAMPA (FOX 13) - Agents say they’ve arrested a west Tampa man who had "expressed anti-government sentiment" and apparently had a small arsenal of weapons and explosives.
According to the ATF, a tip from Tampa police suggested that Michael Ramos had several pipe bombs in his Lincoln Avenue home. A joint ATF, TPD, and FBI investigation ended with a search of the home Monday morning, which they say turned up eight pipe bombs, an AK-47 semi-automatic rifle, a .45-caliber pistol, large amounts of ammunition, and other bomb-making material.
Ramos was arrested, though agents did not immediately specify the charges against him or elaborate on his alleged "anti-government" comments.
