Bodycam video shows Sarasota doctor's arrest

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office released bodycam video showing the arrest of Dr. Pete Supan, who's accused of asking a teen girl for nude images and talking about performing sexual acts on her during an online conversation.

A doctor faces criminal charges after asking a teen girl for nude images and talking about performing sexual acts on her during an online conversation, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said Thursday.

What we know: MCSO said its investigation began on Oct. 28 after the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit got a tip about "suspicious chats" on Reddit.

Deputies, along with the FBI and the U.S. Attorney's Office, read through the conversation between Dr. Pete Supan, 38, and a 14-year-old girl in Utah.

Investigators said Supan, who practiced internal medicine on adult patients in Sarasota, posed as a 19-year-old and went into detail about sex acts he would perform on the girl, while also asking her for naked pictures.
