Beyoncé's Tampa Concert: Everything you need to know

TAMPA (FOX 13) - Beyoncé's Formation World Tour hits Raymond James Stadium on Friday, April 29, following a sold out debut at Marlins Park in Miami.

As fans get excited to see the Queen Bee in Tampa, local police are getting prepared.

"We're expecting there to be quite a bit of traffic, and quite a few pedestrians," said Steve Hegarty, spokesperson for the Tampa Police Department. "If you don't have to go in that direction, don't."

Police say in addition to controlling the expected large amount of traffic, pedestrian safety is a priority.

Concert goers are encouraged to only use crosswalks to cross the streets surrounding the stadium, and those taking Uber, Lyft or catching a ride should be dropped off and picked up at Steinbrenner Field.

"There's a walkway across by Steinbrenner Field. That's going to be the drop off area, so don't just stop anywhere along Dale Mabry. That's going to mess up an already busy traffic situation," said Hegarty.

Stadium parking costs $25. Parking lots open at 4:30 p.m., followed by the gates to Raymond James Stadium at 5:30.

While fans will be allowed to bring cellphones, cameras and signs, stadium security has banned selfie sticks, Gopros, drones and large bags.

Other items not permitted include: Lasers, strobe lights, umbrellas, outside food/beverage, radio scanners, strollers, artificial noisemakers, recreational balls and equipment of any type.

The Box Office will be open at 10 a.m. Friday at the south end of the stadium

The concert begins on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
