Brooksville motorcyclist killed after crashing into SUV on U.S. 301 in Dade City: FHP

DADE CITY, Fla. - A 73-year-old Brooksville man is dead after crashing his motorcycle into the back of an SUV on U.S. 301 in Dade City Sunday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Investigators say the Cadillac Escalade, driven by a 56-year-old Dade City woman, stopped to make a left turn into a driveway along U.S. 301 and was waiting for oncoming traffic to pass when the motorcycle hit the back of her vehicle.

The rider died at the scene while the driver of the SUV was not hurt.

FHP is investigating the crash.
