Busy Tampa road to be closed for days while crews repair water main break
TAMPA, Fla. - The Tampa Water Department says a busy stretch of W. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. will be closed starting on Wednesday to allow crews to finish "extensive" repairs to a broken water main.

What we know:
Officials say MLK Blvd. will be closed at N. Poplar Ave. starting at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Barricades and signs will be in place for drivers to get around the closure, according to the water department.

The road is expected to reopen by 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3.
What we don't know:
The Tampa Water Department says crews may need to return at a later date for additional work, but that has not yet been determined.
