Cheerleading coach had sexual contact with 16-year-old, deputies say

A cheerleading coach was arrested for having inappropriate sexual conduct with a minor, Hillsborough County deputies say.

Between March or April 2016 to May 2017, the 16-year-old victim received “sexually explicit images” of the suspect, 28-year-old Victor Valenty, through Snapchat, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Detectives said Valenty traveled from his Oldsmar home to different locations in Hillsborough County to pick up the victim and take her to his home to do sexual activities.

Hillsborough County deputies say Valenty is a cheerleading coach at Storm All Stars in Brandon, which is how he met the victim. They said he admitted to sending and receiving pictures to her, and traveling to pick her up.

The charges he faces include, ten counts of traveling to meet a minor and a porn-related charge.

They said no other victims were identified, but detectives ask if anyone has information on other victims to call them at (813) 247-8200.
