Man arrested in child porn investigation, more charges possible: CCSO

Floral City man was arrested for possession and transmission of child pornography on Thursday, according to the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office.

According to CCSO, Terry Lee Patricoff, 60, is in the Citrus County Jail without bond after his arrest.

What we know:

CCSO’s Criminal Investigation Division said they partnered with Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) agents to conduct a search warrant on Patricoff’s Floral City home, acting on a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Deputies said they seized multiple electronic devices owned by Patricoff and found child sexual abuse material that was also transmitted online.

Patricoff is charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of transmission of child pornography.

What we don't know:

Authorities say that Patricoff may face more charges after digital forensic examinations are completed on devices they seized from his home.

"Working cases involving Child Sexual Abuse Material are emotionally difficult, but also extremely rewarding," said Detective Patrick Martin with the sheriff's office. "Every time an offender like Patricoff views or sends CSAM, they are promoting the production and distribution of these types of images and videos, victimizing countless children."
