A burglary suspect turned himself in after his mother told him to do so, police say.

Clearwater police began searching for a trio of burglars after they broke into a home on San Mateo Street earlier in May. They also released surveillance video of them, including a clear photo of a suspect -- whom they say is 18-year-old Kevin King -- looking directly into the camera.

Apparently, King’s mother also saw the photo circulating on social media and recognized him, police say. She arranged for her Riverview son to surrender Thursday morning at the Clearwater Police Department.

King has been charged with burglary and grand theft. Some stolen items were recovered.

Police say they are still searching the two other suspects involved.
