It’s not uncommon for roads to be closed for fog, snow, floods, or fires.  But slime?  That’s what happened in one Oregon community Thursday.

Police in Lincoln County, Oregon had to close a stretch of Highway 101 along the Pacific Coast because a seafood truck overturned, sending eels and slime all over the road.

Oregon State Police shared several photos from the scene showing white slime covering a nearly unidentifiable vehicle. Hundreds of pink eels were mixed in with the goopy mess.

The eels were being shipped to Korea for consumption, according to police.

Social media users were quick to comment on the unusual sight, comparing it to a scene from ‘Ghostbusters’ or ‘The X-Files.’ Police also got in on the fun, tweeting, “What to tell the drycleaner?” and “Cleanup on Aisle 101.”

No humans were significantly injured in the crash, officials said.
