Cross Bay Ferry returns with extended evening hours

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Cross Bay Ferry is back for what will be its fifth year in service. It will again operate to and from Tampa and St. Petersburg’s waterfront, starting Thursday afternoon.   

The cost is a maximum of $10 each way and the service will run through May 22 of 2022.   

There’s no service on Mondays and Tuesday, but this year there will be later runs in the evening. 

It’s funded by the city of St. Pete and Tampa, along with Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.  

The partners just entered into an agreement with the operator to expand the service each year until it’s year-round by 2024.
