Deadly crash on US-301 kills 1 person, another hospitalized: FHP
DADE CITY, Fla. - A man from Ridge Manor is dead and a DeLand woman was hospitalized after a crash on US-301 Saturday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Investigators say a 46-year-old woman, driving a Ford F-150, was turning left onto US-301 from Ashbrook Rd., when her vehicle collided with the victim's Kia Sedona.

The 87-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died. The woman's condition is unknown right now.
FHP is investigating the crash.

Vehicle 1, a Ford F150, driven by a 46-year-old Deland woman, was traveling westbound on Ashbrook Road. Vehicle 2, a Kia Sedona, driven by an 87-year-old Ridge Manor man, was traveling northbound on US-301. At the intersection of the two roadways, Vehicle 1 turned left into the path of and was struck by Vehicle 2. Both drivers suffered injuries during the collision, and both were transported to area hospitals. Driver 2 later expired from injuries suffered during the crash.
