Deadly Tampa crash under investigation

TAMPA, Fla. - A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Monday morning in Tampa.

It happened shortly after 6 a.m. in the 6100 block of N 22nd St.

Police say the driver, an adult male, was the only person in the vehicle.

He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

N 22nd St is closed between E Hanna Ave and E Idlewild Ave.

Drivers are being asked to seek alternative routes.

It is unclear how long the road will be closed.

Tampa police are investigating the crash.
