Falling tree narrowly misses baby sleeping in crib
NEW PORT RICHEY (FOX 13) - A Pasco County family is thankful Friday after a tree toppled onto their home and through the roof, into their baby’s bedroom.
That family can’t stay inside their house tonight but their 2-month old daughter is alive and well – and that’s all that matters.
Father Mina Sidaros said his baby was sleeping when the tree crashed down, actually hitting the crib.
Sidarous took photos inside his daughter’s room, showing just how close roof debris came to hitting the baby.
The tree crashed through when the storm came Friday afternoon. Later Friday night, crews came by to cut the tree down and clean up the debris left behind.
Over in Land o’ lakes, wind caused fences to collapse and roofs to rip off homes.
Power crews were working to get the lights back on for people in this neighborhoods and others around Pasco County. Many families here tonight are just thankful no one was hurt.
