Families of shooting victims remember loved ones at Sebring vigil

More than 1,000 people came together Sunday night for a special vigil to remember the five people killed after a gunman opened fire inside a Sun Trust Bank branch on Wednesday, killing 4 employees and a customer.

Songs and prayer offered healing to a community in mourning.

“May our ladies rest in peace," said bank customer Beth Degnan. "And may their families get through this.”

Hundreds with cell phones in one hand shined their lights. Their other hands were raised with five fingers out, representing each of the five victims.

65-year-old Cynthia Watson, 55–year-old Marisol Lopez, 31-year-old Jessica Montague, 38-year-old Ana Piñon Williams and a 5th victim not being named at her family’s request were all killed in the shooting.

Greg Warner, the father of Jessica Montague, remembered his daughter for her sweet smile.

“She was a beautiful mother," Warner told FOX 13. "Loved her children. She’s got three little kids. The oldest is 8, 6 and 3. They get to grow up without their mom. That’s sad. That’s a tragedy.”

“I knew all five women," said Montague's husband Jermaine Montague. "Not only was one my wife, but the rest of them I considered family also.”

Ana Piñon Williams, a mother of three and step-mother of four, was planning a family trip her native Mexico. She had just started working at SunTrust Bank when a 21-year-old gunman opened fire inside the lobby Wednesday, killing her and the four others.

So far, verified GoFundMe pages have raised a combined total of more than $15,000 to help the families with funeral expenses.
