Fire destroys Spring Hill home

A Spring Hill home went up in flames early Monday morning. 

Hernando County firefighters were called to a home in the 9300 block of Century Drive in Spring Hill around 1:30 a.m. for reports of a house fire

When they arrived, firefighters said there was heavy fire from the garage into the home.

Despite an ‘aggressive fire attack’, Hernando County Fire Rescue says the home was destroyed. 

Firefighters believe improperly discarded smoking materials may have sparked the blaze. 

No injuries have been reported.
