BRADENTON (FOX 13) - Heavy rain across Sarasota County flooded roads and made driving difficult Wednesday afternoon.
FOX 13 News viewer, DJ BIG DAWG, shared video he recorded while at a near-stop on 14th Street W, between 53rd Ave W and 54th Ave W.
The video shows a line of cars stopped ahead of his, with rising waters reaching the under carriage of the vehicles. A car just in front of his turns onto a side road and the water comes up to the bottom of the doors.
As rain continues to fall in the Bay Area due to Tropical Storm Hermine, driving conditions may only worsen and roads will continue to flood.
The Florida Highway Patrol reminds drivers to "Turn Around, Don't Drown," and says to never drive through standing water.
