HCFR battles Tampa house fire, 1 dog rescued, second dog unaccounted for
TAMPA - Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to a house fire on Saturday after a Tampa homeowner called 911 saying the home was engulfed in flames and two dogs were trapped inside.
Crews arrived to the scene on Little River Dr. off of Hillsborough Ave. within four minutes and immediately entered the home attempting to rescue the dogs.

HCFR says that a partial roof collapse forced the firefighters out of the home for their safety.

Despite the challenging conditions of the fire, crews were able to safely rescue one of the dogs. The second dog has not been accounted for.
HCFR says that fire crews were able to put the fire out within an hour. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.
The fire is currently under investigation.
