TAMPA, Fla. - The Florida Department of Health has issued a health advisory for Ben T. Davis Beach, calling it a potential risk to the bathing public.
The water at the beach tested above the threshold for enterococci bacteria, which is indicative of fecal pollution from storm water, sewage, or pets and wildlife.
The beach will be resampled on Monday, August 1. The advisory will be lifted when the water is in the satisfactory range.
