LAKELAND, Fla. - Lakeland police are investigating a death near the area of Fairbanks Street and Bella Vista Street.
On Wednesday morning, human remains were found nearby. Detectives said they are unable to confirm the identity or cause of death of the individual.
Police said the remains will be transported to the Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.
No other information was provided.
