Impaired wrong-way driver arrested after crash in Plant City: FHP

An impaired wrong-way driver was arrested Wednesday morning after a crash on SR 39 in Plant City, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Investigators say Flor Tulia Perez Roblero, 45, was heading south in the northbound lane when her Dodge Grand Caravan struck a Kia Sorento, driven by a 68-year-old Zephyrhills woman.

It happened just north of Knights Griffin Rd. as SR 39 transitions to a divided highway.

The two vehicles nearly collided head-on, and both drivers were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
