Man accused of shooting into pregnant girlfriend's Kissimmee home arrested in Southwest Florida
OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. - A man accused of firing several rounds in the direction of his pregnant girlfriend in Osceola County on Tuesday was arrested in Southwest Florida, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office.
Fortunately, the woman nor her unborn child were hurt in the shooting, Osceola County Sheriff Marcoz Lopez said.
The shooting happened around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at an apartment complex on Orchid Lane in Kissimmee. The woman called 911, and her boyfriend then ran off, according to the sheriff's office.
He has been identified as David Gomez-Posso.

On Tuesday evening, Charlotte County deputies were notified that Gomez-Posso was wanted in Osceola County for the crime and that his vehicle was about to enter their jurisdiction, the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
A Charlotte County deputy spotted Gomez-Posso's vehicle and attempted to detain him, but he drove off. He was later taken into custody after crashing his vehicle while attempting to exit Interstate 75, according to deputies.
Gomez-Posso was booked into the Charlotte County jail on charges of fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement with wanton disregard.
The Osceola County Sheriff's Office said he will be extradited to Osceola County to face additional charges related to his warrant for aggravated battery on a pregnant woman.
Sheriff Lopez said there appeared to be a history of unreported domestic violence between the couple.
"I cannot emphasize how important it is if you are being victimized by something or someone like this, (to) please call the sheriff's office, law enforcement or 911 right away," Lopez said during a Tuesday afternoon press conference. "Don't be a victim. Don't let these things happen to you. There's nothing in the world or an excuse that will convince me or anybody that this is something that's worth keeping."
If you or someone you know is dealing with domestic violence, help and resources are available. The National Domestic Violence Hotline can be reached online, by calling 1-800-799-7233, or by texting "START" to 88788.
