Lutz man arrested for DUI manslaughter following fatal US 41 crash
LUTZ, Fla. - One man is dead, and another is behind bars after a crash in Pasco County on Thursday evening.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, William Edward Ricks, 72, was driving a Ford Escape southbound on US 41 around 6:30 p.m. as a 26-year-old Largo man was riding a Suzuki motorcycle northbound on US 41.
Troopers say Ricks entered the path of the motorcycle when he turned left onto Lake Floyd Drive and the vehicles collided.

The motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital where he later died.
Ricks, according to troopers, was later determined to be impaired and was arrested for DUI manslaughter.
