BRADENTON (FOX 13) - A Manatee County man was arrested Sunday morning for vandalizing a neighborhood in Bradenton.
Gabriel Ramirez, 20, has been charged with several counts of criminal mischief. Manatee County deputies said Ramirez spray painted cars, driveways, street signs, a mailbox and a house on 64th Ave. Terr West.
Deputies said Ramirez spray painted the numbers "666," the words "Jesus Lives," as well as the pentagram symbol.
At least 8 families were impacted. It's not clear the cost of the damage. Deputies said it varies for each victim.
"That's messed up," said Jehovah Delgarza who lives in the neighborhood. "I've lived here 4 to 5 years and nobody did anything like that. This just recently happened. Probably the same ones, doing the same thing, running around."
A similar crime occured earlier in the week at the Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church. Many of the same symbols and words were spray painted on the walls of the church and on a shrine.
Deputies said they are aware of the similarities and are trying to determine if the two are connected.
